NFPW announces 2020 national communication contest winnersOutstanding communications entries from throughout the United States have won honors in the 2020 National Communications Contest sponsored by the National Federation of Press Women. Nearly 300 professional communicators earned honors during a virtual celebration on June 6, 2020. The awards celebration was scheduled in Little Rock, Arkansas, but because of the expected size of the celebration, it was moved to a virtual celebration to protect the health and safety of participants. Over, 1,800 entries were submitted in this year’s contest. This was an increase of over 200 entries from the 2019 contest. Winners in the contest first competed in contests within their state or in an at-large contest for states without contests. First-place winners in these contests advanced to the national contest.
